INTRO

/HOG/
HOG (Hand of God) was a wealthy club in the community and the PUBG division. It is an PUBG E-sports club located in Shanghai, there are two battle teams classificated by their strength, with Qi Zui as the Captain of the first battle team.

/AWM PUBG/
If you are wondering what is AWM as in this novel's title, AWM is an extremely rare rifle in PUBG with highest damage but slow reloading rounds. There is also this line in the novel, when Qi Zui say 你是我的AWM (You are my AWM) to Yu Yang, it means 你是我可遇不可求, basically something like "I will be able to meet you when the time is right but I can't force it to happen".

/WHAT IS PUBG?/
PUBG: PlayersUnknown’s Battleground, every game round had a hundred participating players. PUBG is a competitive survival shooter. Players are dropped into a wide, open area, and they must fight to the death - all while the battlefield shrinks, adding pressure to all in its grip. Use a variety of interesting weapons and vehicles amid the battlegrounds.
PUBG is not your typical shooter. The aim is to survive, not to get the most kills - in fact you can win without getting a single one - so being the last standing player is the ultimate goal.

GAMEPLAY

/RULES/
In PUBG, you can play Squad (4 people in a team), Duo, and Solo. When playing solo, since you have no team to rely on, a single unsuppressed shot, even if it kills someone, can lead to your death. When playing duo/squad, an early death of a teammate does not automatically mean a round is lost and dying early yourself can be a great opportunity to learn from your teammates. In a Squad of 4 people, each players has their own roles please refer to thisIn a Squad mode, each player started off without any equipment. Everyone began by boarding an airplane following a flight path. At any point along the path a player could parachute off to their desired location.Guns, bullets, protective gear, and medical item ranks were randomly generated everywhere on the map, and after landing could immediately be picked up.In the Squad mode, dispersed over the entire map were 25 squads (100 players) altogether. Each group would compete amongst each other. There was however no need to worry about the map being too large, preventing encounters between teams. The game would start randomly allocating a safe zone, and if a player was caught outside of the safe zone, there would be a poison effect where the player’s health would be drained continously. With the passage of time, the safe zone would constantly shrink. Players would have to keep moving to stay within the safe zone, while exchange fire with other players and eliminating them, a battle royale. In order to survive you may need vehicles to run around the area. Vehicles are randomly scattered across every map with various models and durability. On top of land vehicles, you can also find various water vehicles like boats and jetskis scattered around the edge of the islands. After someone die in PUBG, they become a crate that people can loot off of. Stealing the ammunitions, meds etc are very useful for your team. The game would end when only players of the same squad were left on the map.The last team standing would be the victor of that round. The winners will get a pop up of "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner" on their computer screen.

/MAPS/
The Maps are the playable area where players are pitted against each other in battlegrounds. Within these maps, a red zone periodically spawns onto random cities/locations causes explosions within that area and also periodically a C-130 flys over the map and drops an air drop. What is air drop?

Maps from left to right (click zoom to see full pic): Erangel, Miramar, Vikendi, Sanhok.

/WEAPONS/
Weapons are items used to deal damage to enemies.

/EQUIPMENTS/
There is a variety of Equipment in PUBG, varying from protective gear to various utilities used to aid players throughout the game.

/VEHICLES/
The vehicles in PUBG are vitally important to map movement, largely because of how far apart players are often placed.

ROLES

/THE LEADER/
Better known as IGL (In Game Leader), the Leader is the player who will make important decisions and guide the team in the game. Sometimes he will spend more time looking at the map than the game itself and it will be up to him to decide whether to enter or not in every place and how to manage the overall strategy.
Having a good IGL is important, this helps reduce the pressure to make decisions to other team members and help them focus more on the game.

/THE SNIPER/
Sniper is one type of role play in PUBG that contributes the most attack damage to the enemy. Sniper is tasked with monitoring and killing distant enemies. This sniper is highly prioritized when the team finds an 8x scope and long-range weapons.
He will be placed in a high ground in order to be able to see the area around the team.
Those of you who use this role play must also be able to adapt to the location and must protect your teammates who are on the front line.

/THE FRAGGER/
We could call it the "spearhead".
In short, it’s the player with the most team skills and the best in short and medium distance combat.
The Fragger is the first player in the team to enter the buildings and the first to engage in close combat.

The first assault weapon should be for him, as well as important accessories such as silencers or the 4x viewfinder.
In addition to weapons it’s good to provide him with the best bulletproof vest, which will especially help him in raids on buildings. Definitely one of the most requested PUBG roles.

/THE SUPPORT/MEDICS/FLEX/
The support will be responsible to save/revive team members and carry a surplus of medicine and ammunition.
In this way, after a gunfight, the support can pass the necessary resources to the other team members.

Other tasks of this role are the use of grenades at the strategic level, and the flanking of the Fragger when it comes to shootings or raids in buildings (being on guard at the very back to prevent sudden enemy attacks from the opposite direction).

GLOSSARY

Excerpts from BlackBox TL

/AIR DROPS/
In PUBG, there will be crates dropped randomly in the sky (there's also flare guns but they basically call a supply drop to where you are shooting it from, supply drops and air drops are relatively similar besides for how they come about). It has guns you can't find around the maps and other things like a Ghillie suit (sort of like a camouflage suit), and level three vests, helmets, backpacks. It's all randomized.

/CHICKEN DINNER/
In PUBG, the winners of the match are greeted with the slogan, “Winner winner, chicken dinner!”on the match statistics page before returning to the lobby.

/FLICKING/
Flicking is basically when you're quick scoping, in that you are kind of scoping in, when you drag your cursor to the enemy then close your scope and quickly shoot.

/SPRAY/
Basically means when you use a gun with multiple shots (instead of just single shot snipers), to fire multiple rounds at a target.
